ABSTRACTS



General Guidelines:

  • Papers and Posters accepted at a previous NZOA meeting are not eligible for submission. 
  • Please indicate your preference for Abstract presentation i.e. Paper or Poster. The Programme  Committee will take this into consideration but cannot guarantee your preference.  They will determine the most effective presentation method, either paper or poster.  
  • It is the responsibility of the submitting author to communicate all presentation information to the presenting author.
  • There is no numerical limit on the number of abstracts an author may submit.
  • Podium presentation time will be 5 minutes for each presenter, in groups of 4 presentations , followed by 5 minutes of questions for each group.
Submission Requirements:
  • Abstract word count cannot exceed 300 words.
  • Abstracts must contain Title, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.
  • Your abstract title must be short and specific, explaining the nature of the study/procedure. Use Title Case only (abbreviations, bolding, underlining and italics are not to be used).
  • Define any abbreviations the first time they are used.

Please read the above guidelines and requirements before entering your submission. Any abstract submissions which do not adhere to the above requirements may be sent back or rejected by the abstracts committee.

By submitting an abstract the author/presenter automatically provides permission for it to be published by The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery, and to the NZOA website.
