Childcare and Breastfeeding Facilities.

If you require a dedicated space for breastfeeding, you may use the parents room on the ground floor of Te Pae, which will be clearly signposted at the venue.

If you require further childcare services, please contact NZOA Conference and Events Manager, Nikki Wright, who will put you in touch with a local nanny service.

If you select delegate + partner, your partner will only be entitled to attend the Industry welcome function, pre gala dinner reception and gala dinner.

Your registration fee includes:

  • Access to the Combined Annual Scientific Meeting, as per delegate type selected.
  • Industry welcome function, 5:30 - 7:30PM Monday 31 October, Exhibition Hall, Ground Floor, Te Pae.
  • Pre gala - dinner reception (Wednesday 2 November) in Rivers room foyer at Te Pae (5:30pm - 7pm).
  • The 2022 NZOA & AOA Combined ASM Gala Dinner, held Wednesday 2 November, Rivers Room at Te Pae (7pm - 11pm)
  • Transport coaches on loop from designated hotels to Te Pae will be provided as part of your delegate fee, from ScenicNZ coaches. A timetable and list of hotels included in the transport loop will be available closer to the time of the event. 
  • Downloadable event app, including programme, function info, exhibitor floor plans, speaker info, transport schedule and more!

Your registration fee does not include:

  • Flights
  • Accommodation
  • Partner programme fees or expenses
  • Taxi or Uber fares
  • Airport carparking and or mileage to attend if driving
  • Sporting activities on Sunday.

*To avoid disappointment, please ensure to book your accommodation as soon as possible. Note hotel rooms are not held at any Christchurch accommodation provider for delegates.

NZOA & AOA Combined ASM Gala Dinner, Rivers Room, Level 1, Te Pae. Please note the dress code is black tie and the theme is "Diamonds & Pearls".

Please indicate your attendance for catering purposes.

Note any associated meetings or dinners, such as the Combined NZOA & AOA Council Meeting, ABC Dinner, President's Dinner, LIONZ or OWLs Forums, Diversity Cocktail Function (LIONZ ,OWLs, Ngā Rata Kōiwi) will have separate invitations sent.

General

  • The NZ Orthopaedic Association is an Incorporated New Zealand society and all website activities come under New Zealand legal jurisdiction.

Accommodation

COVID policy

Please note, should there be any COVID restrictions or enforced government lock down situations regarding the event, you will be able to get a full refund of your registration fee.
We require all delegates to be fully vaccinated and boosted, in line with Te Pae policy.
Please ensure you wear a mask where required.
Sanitiser will be available from the registration desk.

Early bird rates policy
Please note, if you register for an early bird rate, you MUST PAY by the early bird cut off date (Sunday 31st of July).
If you register for the early bird rate but do not pay by the 31st of July, your registration invoice will be amended to reflect the increase in fee.

Invoices
All prices include GST. A tax invoice will be automatically issued once your registration is submitted, unless you have paid via credit card, in which you should receive a receipt for payment.

Pricing
Prices displayed are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include NZ GST at a rate for 15%, unless stated otherwise.

Paid Event Registrations

  • Once you have registered for a NZ Orthopaedic Association event you will be invoiced by the Association. Payment is required within 7 days of registration. 
  • The NZ Orthopaedic Association reserves the right to defer or cancel any event if there are insufficient bookings or conditions arising beyond our control. A refund of registration fees in most situations will occur.
    If Government regulations state the event cannot go ahead due to COVID restrictions, NZOA will give you a full refund of your registration fee.
  • The NZ Orthopaedic Association reserves the right to not refund fees when cancellation by the registrant has occurred. Cancellations by registrants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Individuals are responsible for cancelling their own hotel and travel reservations. The NZ Orthopaedic Association. does not accept liability for hotel, travel, partner programme or additional meal or beverage costs before, during or after the event.

Payment

  • Valid payments will be processed once you have submitted your payment. When paying please ensure if paying by credit card, you submit valid credit card details and complete all other fields as required. The NZ Orthopaedic Association will issue receipts for all payments received.

Transport

Transport will be available from ScenicNZ coachlines to and from local hotels to Te Pae during the conference. 
A transport schedule will be made available on the delegate conference app and in the digital delegate handbook prior to the ASM.

Virtual attendance

Recordings of plenary sessions will be made available for virtual delegates post ASM. A zoom link will be provided to you prior to the meeting.
